The famous David Mellor Cutlery Factory designed by Sir Michael Hopkins. Purpose built on the site of the old gas works in Hathersage, The Round Building is a highly functional building, set in a rural area of outstanding natural beauty. The adjoining design museum displays the historic design collection of David Mellor and his son, Corin Mellor, from tea spoons to traffic lights.
