Assay office open day 2

The Sheffield Assay Office is opening up its doors to members of the public for two days for a unique opportunity to view some of its fascinating 1000 piece silver collection, archive and library.The collection and archive represent 234 years of Sheffield assaying and hallmarking history. Items on display include work by well established Sheffield firms, James Dixon, Mappin and Webb through to contemporary designs by Keith Tyssen, Brett Payne and Katey Felton and Owen Waterhouse.

Opening times: 10-12.30, 1.30-4pm.
