Completed undergraduate studies in 2000, graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA Hons in Metalwork and Jewellery.
Aspired to study at MA level however considered that some time from studying would be beneficial in order to develop ideas.
Studied for a PGCE in Design Technology during 2000/1 and was successfully employed as a teacher in a Nottinghamshire Comprehensive.
Joanna says:
I aim to design and make bright, quirky accessible, jewellery for the young a heart. The pieces belong to two collections, the Daisy and Broderie Collections and are available in a range of colour and centre finishes. The design, realisation and manufacture of both collections employs a range of computer aided technologies and traditional processes, with every piece being hand finished and assembled. Prices range from £45 to £400.
Pieces have recently been exhibited at Rufford Craft Centre Gallery as part of their Jewellery Showcase, during March, April and May of 2007.
Pieces are also currently on the way to Blue Wing Gallery, Cornwall.

In 2004 enrolled on MA at Sheffield Hallam University, part time, continuing to teach in order to fund studies.
