Learned silversmithing skills during F/T Art education (Sheffield) and 3 yrs. post-grad. studies at the Royal College of Art.
Taught 3-D.Design and Silversmithing in Sheffield for many years and now making significant and fine pieces usually in silver, in his studio/workshop in Persistence Works.
He collaborated with Sheffield colleagues (Alex Brogden, Chris Knight and Brett Payne) to produce The Millennium Punch-Bowl commissioned by The Assay Master, and again with Chris Knight and Brett Payne over the concept origination, and oversight during the manufacture and installation, of The Cutting Edge outside the Midland Station.
He is a Liveryman of The Goldsmiths' Company and a Freeman of The Pewterers' Company. His works have been widely commissioned and exhibited internationally and are included in numerous public collections including here in Sheffield. Others include the V & A Museum, London, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Shipley Art Gallery, Aberdeen Art Gallery and in many University and private Collections.
